Characteristic of workplace: The main objective of the Regional Centre of Advanced Technologies and Materials (RCPTM) is the regular transfer of the developed high-tech technologies into the medicinal, industrial and environmental practice and the participation of the Centre in the prestigious international networks and consortia. RCPTM focuses predominantly on the top research in the metal oxide nanoparticles for catalytic and magnetic applications, carbon nanostructures, metal nanoparticles for antimicrobial and water treatment technologies, coordination chemistry, photonics, new instrumentation in optics and analytical chemistry. One of the main goals is also to offer the first-rank microscopic, spectroscopic, magnetic and other devices for the commercial utilization.

Usage The Picoclave multipurpose pressure reactor system (equipped with Julabo thermostat) is designed for the use of interchangeable glass and steel pressure vessels. Safety features guarantee safe reactions under pressure.
The glass reactors ensure high resistance against acids, while allowing visual process control and monitoring. It is also possible to use steel pressure vessels for high pressure reactions. The magnetic drive ensures efficient mixing of the process media as well as excellent heat transfer.
Powerful circulating pump systems and high heating and cooling capacities of Julabo F25-HE Circulator guarantee short heat-up and cool-down times.
The autoclave is used for carrying out a wide range of experimental and routine syntheses, mainly the reactions at high pressure and temperature, hydrogenation, hydrothermal syntheses or reactions at low temperature.
