CytoTrap

Cytocentrifugation adapter

CytoTrap is a special adapter for performing cytocentrifugation using common centrifuge with swinging rotor. Its unique construction allows users to remove solvent (in whole or in part) during sedimentation. Besides cytocetrifugation, CytoTrap can be also used for subsequent sample modification, such as staining or washing.
We needed better instrument for cytocentrifugation. Cytotrap is the solution.

What will CytoTrap bring you?

Cytocentrifugation without expensive cytocentrifuge
CytoTrap is a smart laboratory tool that allows you to use a standard centrifuge with a swinging rotor for cytocentrifugation instead of an expensive and spacious cytocetrifuge. You can save not just money, but also space in your laboratory
Low reagent consumption
Because of design of CytoTrap, it is not necessary to use a large amount of reagents compared to commonly used procedure. All you have to do is drip a minimum amount of reagent directly into the CytoTrap chamber and just rotate the sample.
Use of standard test tubes
CytoTrap is designed so that you do not have to use special and expensive tubes. Instead, standard 25 ml centrifuge tubes are sufficient. This will save you not only money but also worries about ordering special consumables.

Easy decontamination
The holder, the support, the insert and the lid are made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, useful range -100°C - +250°C), seals are made from silicone rubber (useful range from -60°C to +230°C). In this respect, all these parts can be autoclaved if the decontamination of the device is necessary.
